The Maui Spa & Wellness Center emulates the Aloha Spirit in every detail. There is a rich and charming story behind the name and the spa's founder, Gayle Wentworth. In 1987, Gayle moved to Maui to work with spiritual and holistic doctors who specialized in the art of body healing without chemicals or surgery. Inspired by the island's secrets she absorbed in the decade that ensued, Gayle returned to the States and began applying her expertise at some of the most luxurious, 5-star spas in the world.

In 2003, Gayle moved to Boca Raton (her childhood community) and began to pursue her dream of opening the "perfect" spa. The concept was simple… aside from hiring the most experienced technicians the industry had to offer... Gayle never underestimated the importance of a spa's healing environments. She created revolutionary themed rooms such as the Hana Hydrotherapy Room to give guests the experience of relaxing in a tropical forest... bamboo and waterfall included. Gayle also conceptualized the Kipahulu Relaxation Room Under The Stars where clients feel like they are lounging on the beach on a warm tropical evening. After years of perfecting this and adding a Hawaiian touch to that.... the Aloha Spirit came alive.... and The Maui Spa & Wellness Center was born.... opening its doors in January 2007.
